Brahma AI Raises $150 Million Led by Multiples at $2 Billion Valuation

Brahma AI, the AI-native operating system for enterprise audiovisual content backed by Prime Focus and DNEG, has raised $150 million through preferred shares led by a $100 million investment from Multiples Alternate Asset Management. The round values the company at a post-money $2 billion and will fund R&D, a Silicon Valley expansion, and the launch of interactive digital humans.

On September 23, 2026, Brahma AI — the AI-native operating system for enterprise audiovisual content backed by Prime Focus and DNEG — announced a $150 million funding round through the issuance of preferred shares, led by a $100 million investment from Multiples Alternate Asset Management. The company said it has received a further $100 million of investor interest and may expand the round to accommodate some or all of that demand. The financing values Brahma AI at a post-money $2 billion, according to stock-exchange disclosures by Prime Focus — a sharp step up from the $1.43 billion valuation recorded in February 2025 after an earlier round led by Abu Dhabi-based United Al Saqer Group. Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. served as sole placement agent on the equity financing.

Brahma AI combines Brahma AI Core, its enterprise content intelligence and management layer, with Brahma AI Studio, an AI creation platform spanning visual AI, digital humans, voice, and multilingual performance. The company operates across four global verticals — media & entertainment, sports, healthcare, and advertising — and counts Warner Bros, the NBA, and Mayo Clinic among anchor customers, with strategic distribution partners including Google, Hakuhodo, and DNEG. Its visual AI technology received a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. The company is led by founder and CEO Prabhu Narasimhan, with co-founder and CTO Jo Plaete — described in the announcement as one of the world's leading experts in AI, visual AI, and digital humans — heading technology and R&D.

The round carries a distinctive corporate backstory. Brahma AI was born from Narasimhan's vision to bring together the technology stacks developed across DNEG, Metaphysic, and Prime Focus Technologies into an independent, AI-native platform. Prime Focus will remain the largest economic shareholder, holding about 66% economic ownership through its subsidiary DNEG after accounting for dilution from the raise, the employee stock option pool, and founder equity. Multiples founder Renuka Ramnath framed the thesis in the announcement: 'Brahma AI is reimagining the content supply chain in the age of AI... Its strong customer traction, differentiated capabilities and recognition thereof, including a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award, reinforce our conviction in its ability to appropriate the multi-billion-dollar market opportunity.'

The new capital will fund R&D, a build-out of the global sales organization, and a significant Silicon Valley presence — the company says it plans to expand in the San Francisco Bay Area — as well as the forthcoming launch of interactive digital humans. Narasimhan said the company is 'building Brahma AI to be model agnostic' and taking its technology into entirely new use cases, adding that 'security, authenticity and provenance are such an important part of what we are building.' With voice and multilingual performance as core pillars alongside visual AI and digital humans, the round positions Brahma AI as one of the largest enterprise bets on voice-enabled synthetic media outside the consumer TTS leaders.
