Poland Government Takes Stake in ElevenLabs, Launches AI Lab to Build Voice AI from Europe

The Government of Poland invests in ElevenLabs through its Vinci/BGK Group, joining Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia as a strategic backer, while launching AI Lab Poland to nurture the next generation of voice AI companies with global ambition.

On June 18, 2026, ElevenLabs announced that the Government of Poland has taken a stake in the company through Vinci, part of the BGK Group. With this investment, Poland joins Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, and ICONIQ as one of ElevenLabs' strategic backers, marking a significant vote of confidence from a European nation-state in a private voice AI company.

Alongside the investment, ElevenLabs and Poland are launching AI Lab Poland — a joint initiative that brings together capital, technology, science, and talent in one place. The goal is to help the next generation of Polish AI companies grow with global ambition from the start. ElevenLabs is already working with partners across the country including Centrum e-Zdrowia, LOT Polish Airlines, InPost, Uniwersytet Warszawski, and actor Piotr Fronczewski.

The investment carries symbolic weight for the European AI ecosystem. ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski and co-founder Piotr Dąbkowski first met as teenagers in Warsaw before building a company with global reach from Europe. Earlier this year, the company hosted the ElevenLabs Summit in Warsaw, which they described as a 'homecoming' that reflected a tech scene 'genuinely on the rise.' The company maintains a strong team in Warsaw, London, and across the region, and is committed to deepening those roots.

The announcement frames the investment as part of a broader thesis: Europe is at a critical moment for technology leadership, and Poland is one of the places where that potential is most visible. With the Polish state now investing in ElevenLabs, the company positions itself as strengthening the connection between Poland, Europe, and the global technology ecosystem — a signal that voice AI infrastructure can be built from and backed by Europe.
